Survey Research Coordinator
Role Overview
As a Survey Research Coordinator at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you will design, manage, and analyze survey projects that inform our strategic and impact‑evaluation work across Africa. You’ll ensure high‑quality data collection, adherence to research protocols, and clear reporting of findings.
Key Responsibilities
Study Design & Protocols
Develop survey instruments (questionnaires, guides) aligned with project objectives
Establish sampling frames and calculate required sample sizes
Field Operations Management
Recruit, train, and supervise enumerators or remote‑survey teams
Coordinate logistics for data‑collection in urban and rural settings
Data Quality Assurance
Implement real‑time monitoring and validation checks to ensure data integrity
Troubleshoot field issues and enforce ethical research standards
Data Processing & Analysis
Clean and code survey responses using statistical software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R)
Perform descriptive and inferential analyses to derive actionable insights
Reporting & Visualization
Prepare clear, client‑ready reports, dashboards, and slide decks
Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders
Compliance & Ethics
Ensure all research activities comply with IRB/ethics‑board requirements and data‑privacy regulations
Maintain detailed documentation of protocols, consent forms, and data‑security measures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field
2+ years of experience coordinating quantitative or mixed‑methods survey projects
Proficiency with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyCTO) and data‑analysis tools (Stata, SPSS, or R)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex field operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for training and stakeholder engagement
Familiarity with sampling methodologies and survey‐design best practices
Ability to work under tight timelines, often across multiple geographies
Commitment to ethical research standards and data‑privacy protocols
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience conducting surveys in African contexts or other emerging markets
Fluency in English and a local language (e.g., Swahili, French, Arabic)
Background in impact evaluation or public‑health research
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities
Comfortable with remote and in‑person team coordination
Compensation
Salary Range: USD 45,000 – 55,000 per year
