Role Overview

As a Statistical Data Analyst at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you will leverage statistical methods to extract insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and support data‑driven decision‑making across our African market engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, transform, and validate large datasets from internal systems and third‑party sources

  • Apply statistical techniques (regression, clustering, hypothesis testing) to analyze market trends and project outcomes

  • Develop predictive and forecasting models to inform strategy and investment recommendations

  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and reproducible workflows

  • Create clear, client‑ready visualizations and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Present findings to internal teams and client stakeholders, translating technical results into actionable business insights

  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and analysis steps to maintain transparency and reproducibility

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field

  • 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in statistical analysis, modeling, or data science

  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (R, Python, or SAS)

  • Strong understanding of statistical methods: regression analysis, ANOVA, time‑series, and clustering

  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation

  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex results clearly to non‑technical audiences

  • Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Familiarity with machine‑learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or similar)

  • Experience with cloud‑based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform)

  • Knowledge of African economic or sectoral datasets and key regional statistics agencies

  • Strong data‑visualization skills using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib

  • Proactive problem‑solver comfortable working in a fast‑paced consulting environment

Compensation

Salary Range: USD 50,000 – 60,000 per year
