SEO Specialist

Role Overview

As an SEO Specialist at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you will develop and execute search‑engine optimization strategies that increase organic traffic, improve keyword rankings, and enhance our online visibility across African and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keyword Research & Strategy

    • Identify high‑value keywords and topic clusters aligned with business objectives

    • Monitor search‑trends and adapt strategies for new opportunities

  • On‑Page Optimization

    • Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and URL structures

    • Ensure content follows SEO best practices (schema markup, internal linking, image alt tags)

  • Technical SEO

    • Conduct site‑audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexation, and performance issues

    • Work with developers to implement site‑speed enhancements, XML sitemaps, and structured data

  • Content Collaboration

    • Partner with content and design teams to create SEO‑friendly articles, whitepapers, and landing pages

    • Provide guidance on keyword usage, readability, and user intent

  • Link‑Building & Off‑Page SEO

    • Develop outreach campaigns to secure high‑quality backlinks from relevant domains

    • Monitor backlink profile and disavow toxic links

  • Analytics & Reporting

    • Track performance in Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush)

    • Prepare monthly reports on traffic, rankings, and conversion metrics

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Stay up to date with search‑engine algorithm updates and emerging SEO trends

    • Run A/B tests and iterative experiments to refine tactics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

  • 2–4 years of hands‑on SEO experience, ideally within B2B or professional‑services environments

  • Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and traffic

  • Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz)

  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable interpreting data and drawing actionable insights

  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals as they relate to SEO

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Framer, or Drupal

  • Familiarity with local‑SEO tactics in African markets (Google My Business, local citations)

  • Basic knowledge of paid‑search (SEM) to integrate SEO and PPC strategies

  • Certification in Google Analytics and/or Google Ads

  • Curiosity and proactive attitude toward staying ahead of algorithm changes

Compensation

Salary Range: USD 45,000 – 55,000 per year
