Role Overview

As a Data Entry Specialist at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, verifying, and maintaining data in our databases and systems to support research, reporting, and project delivery across African markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update data from a variety of sources (spreadsheets, documents, forms) into internal databases

• Verify data accuracy by cross‑checking entries against source materials

• Clean and standardize datasets to ensure consistency and usability for analysis

• Assist research and strategy teams by preparing data extracts and summary tables

• Identify and resolve discrepancies or data gaps through follow‑up and investigation

• Maintain clear documentation of data‑entry protocols and version control

• Support ad‑hoc data‑cleanup and migration projects as needed

• Ensure compliance with data‑security and confidentiality policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field is a plus

• 1–2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or clerical roles

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data‑validation and lookup functions

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy

• Good typing speed (minimum 50 WPM) and accuracy

• Ability to work with large volumes of information under tight deadlines

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Basic understanding of database systems (e.g., Access, SQL) is desirable

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP)

• Familiarity with data‑visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for simple reporting

• Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional administrative tasks

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Compensation

Salary Range: USD 28,000 – 35,000 per year
