Market Entry Analyst
Role Overview
As a Market Entry Analyst at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you’ll help clients assess and penetrate new markets across Africa by delivering data‑driven insights, conducting regulatory and competitive analyses, and supporting go‑to‑market planning to ensure successful country launches.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis
Gather and synthesize macro‑ and micro‑economic data, sector reports, and third‑party studies
Build market‑size models and revenue projections for target industries and geographies
Regulatory & Policy Assessment
Map licensing, tax, and foreign‑investment requirements in each market
Track policy changes and advise on compliance implications
Competitive Landscaping
Profile incumbents, local champions, and potential partners
Analyze pricing, distribution channels, and value propositions
Client Deliverables
Prepare slide decks, data tables, and executive summaries
Present findings to client stakeholders and internal teams
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to align market‑entry strategies
Support due‑diligence and integration planning for joint ventures or partnerships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, or a related field
2+ years in management consulting, corporate strategy, or market research—ideally with Africa‑focused projects
Proficiency in Excel modeling, market‑sizing techniques, and financial forecasting
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Strong quantitative skills: comfortable with large datasets and statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations
Ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations
Proven project‑management capability: managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
Familiarity with primary research methods: stakeholder interviews, surveys, and field visits
Knowledge of secondary research sources: Bloomberg, Euromonitor, CFR, and regional databases
Understanding of FDI regulations, public‑private partnership frameworks, and licensing processes
Comfort with ambiguous requirements and the ability to define clear scopes in new markets
Experience working with cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced environments
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability when engaging with diverse teams and local partners
Fluency in English; proficiency in French, Swahili, Arabic, or another African language is a plus
Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Client‑focused mindset with a track record of exceeding stakeholder expectations
Willingness to travel frequently (30–50%) across African regions
Demonstrated curiosity and continuous‑learning attitude in emerging markets and technologies
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience developing go‑to‑market roadmaps and channel strategies
Background in sector‑specific advisory (e.g., telecom, energy, healthcare)
Familiarity with GIS and geospatial analysis tools for site selection
Prior involvement in joint‑venture negotiations or licensing discussions
Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2) or business analysis (CBAP)
Compensation
Salary Range: USD 50,000 – 65,000 per year
