Junior Market Strategy Analyst

Role Overview

As a Junior Market Strategy Analyst at Growth & Investment Agencies Ltd, you will support the Strategy & Advisory team in developing and executing market‑entry and growth plans. You’ll conduct research, build financial models, and deliver insights that guide client decisions across diverse African markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform market sizing, segmentation, and trend analysis for new and existing geographies

  • Build financial and sensitivity models to forecast revenue, costs, and ROI

  • Conduct competitive landscaping, identifying local and international players

  • Assist in designing go‑to‑market strategies and channel‑partner frameworks

  • Prepare client‑ready presentations, reports, and data visualizations

  • Coordinate data collection from primary (interviews, surveys) and secondary sources

  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and flag risks or data gaps

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations) to validate assumptions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or market research

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; proficiency in Excel modeling

  • Familiarity with data‑visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to craft concise, impactful reports

  • Experience with primary research methods (interviews, surveys) and secondary data sources

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities

  • Demonstrated interest in African markets and economic development

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in one or more sectors (e.g., telecom, agriculture, fintech)

  • Knowledge of public‑private partnership or FDI frameworks

  • Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., French, Swahili)

  • Basic familiarity with GIS or spatial‑analysis tools

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new methodologies and market contexts

Compensation

Salary Range: USD 45,000 – 55,000 per year
